New 6 Bed, 4.5 Bath Home Near Luton Airport

Joyous family weekend in large, comfortable and tastefully decorated house with plenty of bathrooms Positive: 25 min walk from town centre, but nearby bus stops (no 12) if less mobile and return trip (all up hill!). Convenience stores in walking distance. House is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Lots of steps up to house and in house, although bedroom and living room/ kitchen on ground floor. Lots of nicely decorated bathrooms, hot water and comfortable beds. Plenty of pillows. Two ensuite rooms. Toilets/ bathrooms on every floor. Host provided plenty of towels, shower gel, hand cream etc. Tea and coffee in kitchen. Warm and cosy inside. Comfortable beds. Nice big kitchen area. Some garden space. and outdoor seating. Excellent communications. Large enough to accommodate multi-generational family with space to have quiet time if needed. Very grateful for early access and friendly and accessible host. Quiet inside, given its on a busy main road. We were in Luton for a family wedding and we were all able to co-exist happily and comfortably for joyous family occasion. I believe the deficiencies were just hiccups and hopefully later visitors will enjoy their time here. We really enjoyed our stay. Negative: Newly furbished house, bit short on kitchen equipment and hanging space in all the bedrooms. Would have appreciated a vacumn cleaner and a clean iron, and couple more tea towels - all reported to owner. Not enough seating around dining room table (only 6) and sitting room small if fully occupied. However you can spill out onto patio if weather good (although not enough seating there for everyone either). On street parking can be problematic in the evenings or weekends. Arrive at 3pm on a weekday and you can probably park outside the house. However, challenging to get into the car (especially with elderly relatives) on the road side given busy road. House not as clean as it should have been, but due to oversight of cleaning staff. Owner informed & hopefully won't happen again for future guests. Care needed with upstairs velux windows if windy (dusty) or raining (bed will get dirty and/ or wet). Don't leave them open! Mind the eves in the top of the house as I walked into the sloped ceiling putting pillows on the stool. Quite hot in the upstairs rooms (even in winter). No dishwasher. Could have done with more than one key given numbers of guests and different generations.
